Kim Stokely

Full Name:
Kim Stokely
City of Residence:
Bellevue
Biography:
The wife of a submariner, Kim has lived in eight states over the last twenty years. With a B.F.A. from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Degree from Regent University, she used her background in Drama to stretch her creativity and stay relatively sane throughout all those moves.
In 2004 the Navy transferred her family to Omaha, Nebraska, a perfectly logical move that never made sense to her mother. Since moving to the area she’s taken classes in novel writing from the community college and has become a member of the Nebraska Writer’s Workshop, Nebraska Writers Guild, the Heart of America Christian Writers Network and the Christian Writers Guild.
Kim’s novel Winter Trees was a semi-finalist in the Christian Writer’s Guild’s 2010 Operation First Novel contest. Her short story Bingo won the 2009 Writers’ Journal Romance contest and was published in the January/February 2010 edition of the magazine. She is a regular paid reviewer for Plugged In.
