Join us in Omaha every April for three days of inspiration, education and networking at the Nebraska Writers Guild Conference. We offer a diverse range of classes and workshops that cater to all aspects of the writing world. It’s also a wonderful way to connect with fellow authors for networking.
We have writing sprints, giving authors the chance to get words down on their works in progress. Boot camp critique night is a favorite among attendees. We break into small groups and attendees read a selection from their work. Positive and helpful critique is given.
The conference offers a bookstore where authors who attend can sell their books. The NWG pays all sales tax as a courtesy. Our social night allows authors to mingle and have some fun.
Every year we invite a couple of literary agents to take pitches through zoom. This gives the opportunity to authors to pitch their work to an industry specialist and possibly get representation. These opportunities fill up fast, so be sure to register early if you’d like to pitch.
